Restorative Treatment
Our office provides restorative treatment for his patients to maintain beautiful smiles and healthy oral cavities. When teeth are damaged (weak, cracked, chipped, decayed) or missing, restorative treatment is needed to correct the problem.
Restoration can include one or more procedures or the application of dental appliances. Any problems with the mouth or teeth should be assessed with your dentist.
Dental restoration is a general term that covers any type of dental work that fixes damage or problems and returns the mouth to its healthiest and best functioning state. This work can be the initial work on a new problem or any work to replace or fix a previous dental appliance.
Implants, dentures, root canals, fillings, or veneers are samples of restorative treatments. Each procedure fixes a different issue, but their main objective is to restore normal oral function.
To prevent the need for a dental restoration or make the process easier, it is recommended that patients establish a healthy oral hygiene routine with brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash at least twice daily. Professional cleaning and examinations should be scheduled every six months. Regular dental care reduces the need for major restorations by finding potential problems and treating them before they become big problems.
